Dr. Badri Narayanan Gopalakrishnan is currently the Head/Joint Secretary, Trade and Commerce, NITI Aayog, Government of India. He is an affiliate faculty member and economist with the School of Environmental and Forestry Sciences, University of Washington-Seattle. He is Applied economist with 20 years experience and expertise in economic modeling/data science, in many areas such as international trade, energy, agriculture, industry & health, economic impact of new technologies like drones, robotics, 3d printing, nano technologies, cloud, IoT, Blockchain, etc. He is also currently affiliated with McKinsey and Company, since 2015, as a consulting economist. Furthermore, he is a consultant with UN, World Bank, ADB, ICRIER, IIFT, FAO, European Commission, Governments of India and USA, WHO, PWC, KPMG, several academic and research institutions all over the world, and senior Fellow with ECIPE etc.
He co-founded Infinite-Sum Modelling Inc., with offices in Canada, USA, India and China, PMAID in India and Canergy Consulting in Canada.
