License
Dynamics 365 offers user subscription-based license on per User/Month basis. Users are classified into four types based on their role in the business process.
Full Users
Users whose work requires use of the full feature of the business applications. They are equivalent to Power Users who manage all functionalities.
Essentials
Administer all areas of application and delegate roles of Team Members. Basically, these are management user roles.
Premium
Get all access same as Essential users, additionally have access to Manufacturing and Service modules.
Additional Users
Who represent a large percentage of users in an organization who may consume data or reports from line of business systems, they perform light tasks like data entry and record updates but not require full user permissions?
Team Members
- Enter time and expenses Manage Employee information and handle Human resource information related to hiring, on-boarding.
- Create or Edit records related to budgets, Quality control.
- Approval of Invoices, time and expense.
- View dashboards and reporting entities.
- Participate in surveys created within Dynamics 365 services.
Activity
- Approve activity related transactions.
- Create/edit areas related to Warehouse, Shipping, Customer, Vendor and budgeting.
- Operate POS devices and perform roles related to Store Manager, Shop floor Manager, Warehouse manager and operate devices related to the said areas.
Application based and plan based are two types of licensing offered.
Plans provide various app functionality for users who would require multiple process areas.
